We are a very well established and respected MOT, service and repair garage in Derby, for cars, vans and motorcycles. Our focus is on providing exceptional garage services to all our customers.

John Cooper was established in 1965 by John Cooper (Moon Eyes). John was a former British Motorcycle Champion in the 60s / 70s and with hard work, built John Cooper up to the successful and well respected business it is today. Since taking over from John in early 2020, we have kept and built on, the many loyal customers that John Cooper established – and some very nice new ones too! Indeed, even though John has now retired, he still calls in for his own car and motorbike MOTs, which is the greatest compliment we could have.

We have an up to date, fully equipped workshop and MOT testing lane with all the facilities to service and repair your vehicle, and are specialists in BMW and Mercedes. All our staff are fully trained, qualified and experienced mechanics and we won’t carry out any work until it has been explained in full and you the customer, have agreed to the work being undertaken.

As well as MOTs and car servicing, John Cooper provide an extensive range of garage services from performance services to engine diagnostics to a wide selection of tyres available from our tyre shop.

Our services are tailor made to meet the needs of our customers and most of our business comes from word of mouth and lots of satisfied, repeat customers.
